Self Publishers - around the world
This page is set up to help us see where other creators are located. In general, we are not presenting maps to peoples houses here. It is intended to help you know who is in your area, so you may be able to contact them through the network, perhaps meet up at a comic shop or other cool hangout. The map will try to find out where you are as you view it, if your browser version is more recent. You dont have to allow it, and you can use the instructions below the map, to edit your login profile here, to put your pin on the map anywhere you feel safe doing so. Enjoy this feature! 1.) If your browser auto-did one, do not worry, you can change it. If it did not, it's the same method to manually enter one.
2.) Open up the following website, then find your lat/long numbers by finding a spot on the map. We highly recommend not putting your HOUSE on the map, instead, look for your local library, post office, a park, whatever you feel like so that you're not giving the world directions to your house, but still letting our members know the general area you live in so you can click each others profiles and get to know each other. NOTE: Save the comic stores, art supply stores, etc, numbers, and enter them on the PLACES map, which has a different focus than this map.
4.) Open up your profile edit page for your account (yes this works even for the Facebook account folks!) and look for the Lat/Long fields, and enter the numbers you got from the website. To get to your profile edit page, look at where you log in and out at the top of the left column of any page, and click the My Profile link, then, across the bottom of the profile page, you will see the link to edit your profile.
5.) When done, return to this page with the Find Members link in the site navigator, and you should now be on the map! If you have any problem with any of this, just Help@dimestoreproductions.com?subject=Map Help.
